I purchased 3 of these from Amazon.com and I am thrilled with them. I put them together in 5 minutes or less each. I have them on my front porch as end tables for my swing and chair. They are also extra seats if I need them. I was surprised at how much can be stored in each one. They are wonderful and I love the Suncast product. I have two Suncast storage benches/seats, also, and a suncast tall two door storage cabinet. They all stay dry and were all extremely easy to put together by this 63 year old woman all by myself with no tools needed! THANK YOU, SUNCAST!!!

A snap to put together

This review is for the 20 cu ft model. We got this after having a Rubbermaid twice the height. We prefer the suncast hands down. By comparison - The Suncast has posts and receptacles in each panel, so once you put the panels together, you can move them around (to then put them say, on top of the floor panel). In contrast, the pieces of the Rubbermaid have slots, that you have to insert by pressure with a mallet - if you move them, the whole thing comes apart and collapses - which makes it very challenging to put together. While the Suncast has to be on fairly level ground, it is somewhat forgiving if it is not 100% level (which is what I would expect of a garden shed). The rubbermaid has to be in a totally level ground (think a concrete slab), or otherwise, even if you manage to put it together well, it will collapse after a few weeks of opening and closing the doors. We've just had the Suncast shed for a few days. I put it together by myself in about 15-20 minutes, with no tools needed. No problem. The doors open and close well. I particularly like that the lid can also open, so then you can take the tools out either through the front doors, or through the top. The lid also stays in place when you use the prop rod to support it in its up position. The plastic is light. Doesn't seem to break easily, but that is something that will have to be tested by time. The doors and lid, as mentioned, close fairly well, but if you want this to secure very valuable items, this is probably not the shed for you. I don't think it was designed to be super secure - but it will protect your tools from the weather, and I'm fairly sure rodents would have a tough time getting in. We are using it mostly for storage of garden tools and supplies. Shovels, and even a small push mower fit diagonally, and there is still plenty of room under them to store smaller hand tools, seeds, containers, etc. Overall, we are happy with the purchase. We'll just have to see how it stands to our relatively mild winters.

Trash Can Storage 4.5 Stars!

Really good quality storage shed. Bought it to hold the trash cans and recycling bin on the side of my house. The shipping charges through Amazon were too much so I ordered from Sears and had it delivered. It comes in a huge box, and has tons of pieces inside. I made sure to read the manual twice before assembling based on other reviews I had read. Assembly was straight forward and simple. The finished product is much more secure and solid than the Rubbermaid Shed in my backyard. My only issue is that you have to lift the top in order to open the doors. Very minor complaint. Quality product, search the net for a good price and you will be pleased!

Suncast GS2000 storage shed

It was fantastic to have it delivered to my driveway for similar or cheaper than the local stores had rubbermaid and other products. Could not see myself struggling to get it home from store. Thank you Amazon. Majority of the instruction was easy to follow and the pieces fit together pretty well. At the end, I never did figure out how to insert the latch properly but it was not really needed to keep the shed closed and can be inserted each time if you want. Some of the pieces would not easily go into the slots and I needed to get a blade to either pare away places where excess plastic had been left or else to hold the plastic sides open in able to insert some parts. I managed to complete the project myself but it would have been easier with two people. Shed height could be a bit higher as I can not keep lids on some cans due to the height of the can lid. Width is awkward-I have 30 gallon round cans and the shed is too big for two cans but too small for three. But the raccoons can not get in and that is great.

I am using this storage cabinet to store my stereo receiver on my deck. I secured the cabinet to the deck and added some metal in the doors to make the lock more secure. The quality of the cabinet is great, it just doesn't offer the security you may need. There could have been a few more shelf adjustments. Now my music can stay outside and is available when I want it.

Not Squirrel-Proof

Ordered this cabinet to store gardening supplies in the back yard. With the addition of some various sized baskets was able to neatly store all of my gardening tools, gloves, plant food, soil, bonsai pots, etc.. The interior stayed dry, even during some pretty serious downpours. The top provided some much needed extra workspace, too. All was well until I decided to store birdseed and peanuts inside. I used lock-n-lock containers to store everything, but this morning I went out to fill the feeder and found that the top of the cabinet, around the edges, had been chewed up pretty badly. Anyone who has dealt with squirrels knows that they are very smart, and the ones that live around me are downright rude when it comes to food (they will come right up and look in the window if you haven't been out to fill the feeder yet!). Guess I was a little too late with peanuts today, so they decided to help themselves. Haven't figured out a way to repair the damage. Hoping I can order a new top, but it will probably be more cost efficient to just buy a new cabinet (it's that good an item).

Perfect Fit

We were looking for a functional, yet eye appealing, storage "box" to fit on our porch for recycleables and this product more than filled the bill. It not only fit in the desired space, but provided extra seating and "drawing" space for our grandchildren. Assembly was easy and found a few taps with a small rubber mallet helpful. This is not a very good product. They are a lot of ones on the Market that are bigger and a lot more durable than this for less money. Do not waste your money on this...

really is waterproof

I had read some reviews of this bench, and when it arrived, i was a little skeptical. I am using it to store the cushions from my new patio furniture. We recently had torrential downpors- 9" worth, and i fully expected the cushions to be at least damp- Thet were dry as a b0ne!! it's worth every penny, and you can sit on it too!

My father-in-law purchased this product for storage at his in-law apartment at my residence. Naturally, my hubbie and I had the lack of pleasure assembling this cheap piece of garbage. It's been an hour and the pieces do not go together smoothly! I would not recommend this product to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks great, functional but doesn't snap together as easy as it says.

I recently purchased this and as my husband and I were putting it together, we had trouble because the bottom and side pieces would just not stay together. It also broke in four different places while putting together. I don't think the parts are fitted correctly for each other. The box says easy assemble in five minutes. It actually took the both of us 30 minutes simply because the parts would not fit into each other and we had to take it apart twice. We finally decided that we were just going to snap it together and sit on it ourselves at the same time to check out how sturdy it is until we let someone else sit on it. Surprisingly, it is pretty sturdy as it supported both of our weight together. We only sat on it for about a minute. Rain finds it's way in so unless you store it under a covered area, I don't recommend storing something you don't want exposed to rain.

I did not quite believe the "easy assembly" description for this item but it really was true. A very nice product too - sturdy, handy, nice looking and even comfotable to sit on. I only stopped at 4 stars as I do not know yet how waterproof or durable it will prove to be.

Perfect for balcony

Nice product! Perfect size for a small balcony. Easy to assemble, sturdy and looks great. My only complaint is for some reason the bottom panel (the one that supports all the storage) isn't the same heavy-duty plastic as the rest of the chair, but a flimsier thin plastic/cardboard combination. Why make this a different material? Still overall happy. Considering getting a second one for a matched set.

Nice and simple style for a small front porch

This is the third item in the Suncast line that I own. I like the simple design and while it's not air tight (and you wouldn't want it to be), it does allow water to roll off while stored items inside remain dry. I bought this as an accent piece for my small front porch. This was so easy to put together - literally a SNAP. Remember to read the instructions completely BEFORE assembly to avoid some frustrating mistakes I've seen here. I like things that do double-duty and this is the perfect fit, that's why I give it 5 stars.

We purchased the Suncast Shed then two sets of the Loft Shelf. I love it because we're able to store our camping gear overhead and out of the way yet get to these items very easily. Having the shelves frees up space on the walls of the shed.

Great idea!

This is a great way to store a little bit extra in your shed. There's a weight limit so you can't go nuts but it's good for keeping some lighter items that you'd have to find another place for otherwise.

Also not compatible with Suncast B52 Storage Building

I don't know if this is a recent change, but the B52 no longer ships with the two ridge beams necessary to install this product, even though there are places where such beams could obviously be installed. Too bad; I had to send this product back. Otherwise, it appeared to be as advertised... though 30lbs maximum storage isn't much.

LOVE THIS BIG STORAGE BOX

I love this storage box/seat that I'm using on my front porch. I put this together myself, as a 63 year old woman, with great ease. It is very large, but it is very attractive. Two people can sit on it, even though it is higher than I thought it would be. It holds a full size plump chaise lounge cushion, eight (8) square seat and back cushions for my wrought iron couch and chair set, a small plump chaise cushion, and several other smaller, flat cushions. WOW!!! That is everything from my front porch. I don't have to drag them all inside to the living room anymore when it rains. And I'm planning on leaving them in it for the Pennsylvania winters. I will not have to bag those cushions up and store them in the attic anymore. I am so happy to have this and three of the small Suncast storage/seats. I use them for end tables for my swing and chair. They hold so much and are so Suncast easy to assemble. I also have a Suncast tall two door outdoor storage cabinet and a Suncast storage bench with arms and a back that I assembled by myself, also . I LOVE THE SUNCAST PRODUCTS.

Dry Storage

I purchased this box to store my outdoor cushions and they all fit perfectly. Everything stays dry even with heavy rain. Assembly was a breeze. We haven't spent significant time sitting on it but the bench seats seems rather sturdy. It comes with a tray, but didn't really work with the cushion measurements that I have.

Love the storage box. It holds 6 thick chair cushions with ease. We keep it on the deck and put the cushions in it after every use to keep them dry. Would recommend this product.

Broken Already!!

I use this item as a storage unit and a bench, just as it was designed. We no longer have kids at home, so no one is playing with it or in it (!) -- just my husband and I removing and replacing outdoor living items. Our friends sometimes sit on it when there's a crowd on our deck. We've had it one complete year, beginning our second summer when we use it more often, and the hinge on the lid is broken completely off! In retrospect, the hinge is very wimpy and there are only two of them on the back. Very disappointed, and have asked Amazon to "make good" on this purchase!

How many times did someone jump in the pool without grabbing a towel first! Then come dripping water into the house to get one. So I was looking for something to store pool towels in at poolside, and this is perfect. It stores about 10 or so beach towels, and they stay dry when it rains. Good purchase for pool owners.

Great Product for Unusual Application!

Yes, a small deck box, but I found another application for it. I've got two mini-vans, and I love them. The problem with mini-vans is that they don't have a truck in them. No place to store, maybe a small tool kit, some jumper cables, tow chain, a couple extra quarts of oil, a gallon of anti-freeze, some windshield washer fluid, maybe some flares or road reflectors, pair of gloves, or the numerous other things that someone would normally throw in a trunk. So bought one of these for each of my mini-vans for my `trunk'. They really didn't need to be any bigger as they only need to hold those loose maintenance and/or emergency items together and organized, without everything rolling around all over the back of the mini-van while driving. Keeps things hidden as well... Again, not meant for bigger items such as shovels, chairs, long window scrapers, and other things thrown in a trunk, but Suncast does manufacture larger deck boxes for anyone needing extra storage space in the back of a mini-van or regular van, to keep things organized. Easy to assemble, just a few minutes, no tools!
